Description
An antique Anglo-Indian hand-carved miniature 4-panel folding table screen dating from around 1900. The detailed hardwood frame features intricate foliate relief carving and stylized finials, housing four interchangeable hand-embroidered linen panels. These textiles beautifully depict the four national floral emblems of the United Kingdom: the Scottish Thistle, English Rose, Irish Shamrock, and Welsh Daffodil.
Condition: Good antique condition overall. One hinge has been replaced, and there is a small, minor chip to the top of one of the carved spikes/finials, consistent with age and use.
